Creating creating creating

Man do I love to create.  This week was a fruitfull week both on the corporate front, family front and music front.

Work: caught up on some stuff, which was much needed after the tradeshow.  Now I can focus on the new hire coming in tomorrow and the interview for the 2nd new hire.  We're growing by leaps and bounds (silly cliche). It's very exciting, and I love working for someone who is so excited about what we do that the feeling is very contagious.

Music: I wrote one new song, wrote some hooks for a friend's hip-hop song and I rehearsed a new set with a friend.  I was also contacted to do a gig at a gallery, so I have to work on getting that coordinated - shoudl be extremely fun!

Family: My family rocks. It's a little one (my husband and 2 boys), since I don't really communicate with my father, nor do I care to, and my mom is going through the "I just got divorced and need to party my ass off to make up for the last 31 years" stage.

Anyway, my boys are great and hubby is wonderful.  I woke everyone up at 8AM yesterday (I was up at 7) and we took a nice, 3 mile walk to the dunkin doughnuts.  We got coffee & bagels (douhgnuts for the boys) and went to the park.  Then we headed back home.  I love doing stuff like that.  I can dig a good movie at the theater, but nothing tops spending talking and playing time with the family. I never really had that and I guess I enjoy it so much because of that.
