I read a great article by Roger Hotchkiss about applying a rating system in search engines. It's a brilliant idea in my opinion, and it may actually become a part of the solution to SEO relevancy problems due to Search SPAM.

The old days and reading on paper

So, I kindof miss the days when I could read up on everything that was happening in the world and feel caught up on a daily basis. And reading a newspaper is a luxury now I just don't have. By the time I grab the paper, open it up and peruse the stories, my inbox has already been inundated with headlines. So I spend an hour every day going through the headlines, hoping I don't miss anything important.

For an information junkie like myself, it's just a total jungle out there, and I love it!

Ahhh the greatness of the net

I always tout the internet being the great wide open, even though that term hass been used as a song title, bok title, and God knows where else.

My love of the net comes from having grown up watching and being a part of it. I can't believe how much has happened in the last 11 years to change the world via the sharing of ideas, information, pictures, sounds and everything that can be shared.

I was 19 and had just learned html 1.0, and I was building my first website and checking it out on my Mosaic browser. Sheesh, has it really been 11 years? Yep, I'm 30, so it sure has.

Anyway, as an Internet Marketing Professional, I believe that the sharing of information is what makes hte web so amazing and powerful. Folks who like to read and learn can acquire information at their fingertips, and that is powerful.

This blog will be my contribution to the wonder that is the net by serving as my online journal about family, motherhood, work and music.
